Composition and Structure

The main component is silicon dioxide (SiO₂), with extremely high purity, reaching over 99.99%, and containing almost no other impurities. Its internal structure is uniform, and the atomic arrangement is orderly, with good optical and physical properties.

  • Optical Performance: It has excellent light transmittance, with good transmittance in the ultraviolet, visible light, and infrared wavelength ranges. It can meet the strict requirements of optical instruments for light transmission and refraction.
  • Physical Performance: It has high hardness, with a Mohs hardness of up to 7, is wear-resistant and has high mechanical strength, and can withstand a certain degree of external impact and friction. It has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, and has good dimensional stability when the temperature changes, and is not easy to deform or crack due to thermal expansion and contraction.
  • Chemical Performance: It has stable chemical properties, is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, and is not prone to chemical reactions in a general chemical environment, ensuring stable performance during long-term use.

Application Fields

  • Optical Field: It is used to manufacture high-end optical instruments, such as lenses, prisms, etc. for microscopes, telescopes, spectrometers, etc., which can improve the imaging quality and precision of the instruments. It is also used in laser technology, as an important part of the laser resonant cavity, which can withstand high-energy laser radiation and ensure the stability of laser output and beam quality.
  • Semiconductor Field: In the semiconductor manufacturing process, it is used to make carrier spheres for grinding, polishing, and other processes in silicon wafer processing. Due to its high purity and good physical properties, it can avoid polluting and damaging the silicon wafers.
  • Precision Measurement Field: It is used as a standard sphere to calibrate precision measuring instruments, such as roundness testers, coordinate measuring machines, etc., providing a high-precision reference for measurement.
